Marcos names acting Ombudsman
Vargas was appointed to the Office of the Ombudsman by former president Rodrigo Duterte in March 2022.
He will take over special prosecutor Mariflor Punzalan-Castillo who has been sitting as officer-in-charge of the anti-graft court since late July after Samuel Martires completed his mandated seven-year term.

Vargas shall oversee affairs at the agency until Marcos names a permanent Ombudsman. , This news data comes from:http://www.gyglfs.com
